Words wove into hums

As thoughts turned to slurs.

Ever since the stars came out

Headless, heartless zombie i've become.

The moment i wished

My soul to return,

It flew away with my pain

How empty i've turned.

Happiness seems a distant memory

Poison that stings my eyes

Makes me coil, writhe and burn

How i wish for the dreams to return.

Frenzied brain looks for incentives

Random faces start to twirl

All i can see is a fray of visions

My night's a chaotic jungle.

Like a wolf on a full moon night

Like a vampire off enstranged wife

Like a cat in the middle of a puddle

Loneliness is one big trouble.

Random spurts of active replies.

Hangover from a night of full high

Giggles, tears, love and fears

A sleepless wanderer, looks for a miracle.

And face sweetly evil,

Was a call from the devil.

You smelt of eternal sins

And tempted me to your gorgeous self.

All the while cashing million-dollar cheques

And here i was thinking you were the perfect man.

Your words made me weak

The sheen on rainy nights

How was i so blind?

Accepted all your lies.

Laid down on fresh cut grass

To gaze upon the silver grey clouds

With first drop of rain that falls

My mind began to wander on.

Silence hums louder than spoken words

The music of life, the gentle hum-drum

Fluttering birds, going back to their homes

Sweeping memories weave a new tune.

Sweet aroma of now wet earth

Fills your heart with peace and love

Little kids jumping in puddles of mud

While caring mothers nurse hot tea-cups.

Small street dogs whimper in cold

Thunder brings young hearts so close

As promenades fill with lovers to court.

A busy day slows down to watch the show

1st day of monsoon, the bliss that nature holds!
