Laid down on fresh cut grass
To gaze upon the silver grey clouds
With first drop of rain that falls
My mind began to wander on.
Silence hums louder than spoken words
The music of life, the gentle hum-drum
Fluttering birds, going back to their homes
Sweeping memories weave a new tune.
Sweet aroma of now wet earth
Fills your heart with peace and love
Little kids jumping in puddles of mud
While caring mothers nurse hot tea-cups.
Small street dogs whimper in cold
Thunder brings young hearts so close
As promenades fill with lovers to court.
A busy day slows down to watch the show
1st day of monsoon, the bliss that nature holds!
